To illustrate this, Jack was the leader of the chorus boys and immediately wanted to be the leader. Although Jack felted threaten because Ralph was also showing great leader skills, so Jack focused more on hunting.
Jack represents the evil within all humans because he would not leave the thought of killing the pigs alone. He always want to kill the pig and wanted it dead. Jack turned the chorus boys into something no one would have thought. They all wanted blood and they wanted it song. Jack showed us his true side when the chorus boys and jack were all trying to catch the boar. "A great log had been dragged into the center of the lawn and Jack, painted and garlanded, sat their like an idol. Power lay in the brown swell of his forearms: authority sat on his shoulder and chattered in his ear like an ape."All sit down." The boys ranged themselves in rows on the grass before him but Ralph and Piggy stayed a foot lower, standing on the soft sand. Jack ignored them for the moment, turned his mask down to the seated boys and pointed at them with his spear"" (9.37, 52-56). However, Jack suddenly proved to Ralph a piggy he wasn't the good innocent chorus boy anymore. Thus proven jack is the evil within the human nature.
The character, Simon though proved the Good within humans. To demonstrate this, Simon provided the goodness because he would take care of the litluns when none other would.
