Making America a Smoke-Free Zone

According to the American Lung Association (ALA), cigarette smoke contains more than 7,000 chemicals, 69 of which are known to cause cancer. Cigarettes have taken over so many people's lives and it's even affecting those surrounding them. It's so expensive money wise and health wise, It's a mystery to me that so many people continue doing it. No matter where you go, you'll see it somewhere. Its pretty much impossible for you to get away from it. You'll see it in movies, on commercials, billboards, people around you, everywhere! Smoking is being advertised everywhere, it's even influencing kids as young as twelve (sometimes younger) to start up this bad habit. What people don't understand is that they are doing very dangerous things to their bodies which they could prevent. Lung cancer is becoming more and more popular, and the main cause is smoking. Everybody is aware of how bad tobacco and nicotine is for you, but yet since everybody else is doing it's okay for them to keep smoking. Most seem to think that it helps reduce stress and helps them to relax, but its a health hazard for both those who smoke and those who don't.
Cigarettes comes with an awful lot of side effects and they are very addictive due to the cigarettes containing nicotine in them. Some side effects include, that it stains your teeth yellow, it makes you smell awfully bad, and in worse cases, it might even cause cancer leading to death. Pretty much smoking cigarettes causes a number of health problems which are very expensive. It's even killing those who don't smoke, which is known as second hand smoke. Most people didn't know this but smoking while you're pregnant is a terrible idea. Smoking either during and after pregnancy is a risk factor of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). It causes so much risk to the baby. It may cause the baby to be born too early and it might cause it to have a low birth weight. I know when I go places I see cigarette butts everywhere, people just throw them on the ground like it's an ashtray.
