While Christianity grew in number, the message of the Lord continues to inspire early Christians and other people. "Christians met in councils to develop statements of faith, confessions and creeds" (Britannica Encyclopedia). This simply means that every Christian met in a council not only to worship and pray to the Lord but also to improve and create a way to inspire and spread the message of the Lord to fellow Christians. Early Christians created prayers, letters and messages that they passed on to their fellow Christians to inspire them. In addition, not only Paul who is a Christian and a strong believer wrote letter to his fellow Christians but also the early Christians. The early Christians are responsible too for spreading the messages of the Lord in the Roman Empire. "For I long to visit you so that I can impart to you the faith that will help your church grow strong in the Lord. Then, too, I need your help, for I want only to share my faith with you but to be encouraged by yours: Each of us is a blessing to the other."(The Living Bible, Roman 1: 12).
As Paul states, they treated each other as brothers and sisters because they valued one another. "They (referring to Christians) preached the principle of brotherhood" (Harvard Theological Review). In other words, Christians taught and preached in manner that they were able to inspire other people and encourage them to become a Christian. Moreover, early Christians developed prayers and creeds so that it will be more inspiring to the early Christians and a non-Christian. Because Christianity continued to spread across the Western world, there are a lot of people who got inspired and converted into a Christian. .
The idea of Christianity gave early Christians hope and because Christianity continues to grow, they became a threat to the Roman Empire. As a result, they were mistreated by the Romans. "Now, Nero Emperor of Roman didn't just kill them, he made a sport of it.
