Guns in Schools

Nowadays, weapons are not only uses to defend the country, but also used for campus violence. In 2011, the Texas state legislature passed a new law to allow around thirty-eight public college students and teachers to bring guns to school. Which means that five hundred thousand of students who enrolled in these schools are now able to bring guns to school. Although the relationship between schools and guns is more acceptable, it is never a good idea for students to go to school with guns.
First of all, to allow students to bring guns to school not only threatens the security of single student who always get bully by others, but also other students who study at school. According to the online American CBC reported, 8.6% of students who have been bullied will bring guns to the campus, but 4.6% of students will bring weapons even though they have never been threatened. Some students would like to be a "hero pretender"; they bring guns to classroom, restaurant, library and many public places even though they do not feel under threat. If those guns get discharged accidentally, it will cause an irretrievable mistake, which is completely unnecessary. For instance, some students hurt their classmates involuntarily while they were comparing their guns to friends or playing around the guns. Worst of all, many students will not pay as much attentions to take care their guns or they do not care rather the guns will hurt other people or not; in other words, it would be unfair to others because the student without a sense of duty would menace other's life and bring them mental stress. .
Secondly, the students who go to school with guns will bring them distance in their relationships with others. According to the New York Daily, 20% of students want to bring knives or guns to school, because they have encountered violence and some of them have been attacked in the campus. It becomes one of the main reasons they want to bring weapons to protect themselves.
