Advertising Campaign - Starbucks

The image itself ironically grabs the eye of the reader. The up close picture of eye balls creeps you out when you first see the advertisement, but it grabs the attention immediately. There is also text at the bottom of the image that says, "Staying awake will never be this painful anymore." I believe the text is implying that no one has to go through pain trying to stay awake by taping their eyelash to their eyebrow. Drinking a beverage from Starbucks will help keep you up. Underneath the text above there is another sentence saying, "It's not just coffee. It's Starbucks." Next to that is the Starbucks logo.
People tend to drink coffee to get a boost for the caffeine when they are tired. I believe that both ads appeal to the viewer's logic. Both ads convince the viewer that they are worth paying attention to with its exotic photos, and that draws the viewer in to begin to read the words that are place on the ad. If you haven't had any experience with Starbucks then after analyzing both ads, it leads you into trying out the product. All of the success that Starbucks has had growing in the industry makes the company trustworthy. The purpose that Starbucks is trying to convey with both of the ads is that Starbucks' coffee is very delicious and helpful. It will provide a rich taste and keep you awake in times of need. Also, that Starbucks is for every worldwide, there are no preferred customers and that it speaks the language of every culture. An employee that works for Starbucks is the creator of both ads. There is no particular audience or a specific group of people that the ads are aiming towards, however, both ads are trying to persuade anyone and everyone to try their coffee if they have not done so already. Also that it could be beneficial to people. It is clear to what both ads are trying to get the audience to understand and the message that they are trying to convey.
