The capture points on the Crystal Scar are arranged in a ring around a neutral area that contains powerful, team-specific buffs. Each team can claim the powerful Storm Shield from the middle of the map. Quests will also occur throughout the match, offering each team the opportunity to win a powerful team buff by completing a team objective. Holding the majority of these points will slowly damage the opposing team's nexus, bringing you closer to victory.
In the game mode, Summoner's rift which is the most played mode in the game. Your team's objective is to best the enemy players, destroy the turrets leading up to the base and destroy the enemy nexus. The nexus the source of power in the bases and destruction of it causes a win for the team that destroyed it. The meta is seen as generally the correct way to play, although people can branch off and start their own metas, it's generally uncommon that they replace the main meta. The current meta is a solo top lane, solo mid, duo bot and a jungler. Each lane is tasked with beating their opponent and collecting gold by killing creeps. The jungler, however, roams around the jungle between lanes and comes out every now and then to ambush a lane to get a kill. Creeps reward gold whenever one is killed. Killing an enemy champion also rewards the player with a large amount of gold. Gold is used to buy items from the base to increase your champion's attacks, damage and armor. While this helps, having all the weapons you need won't get you the win. There are many factors that go into winning the biggest being teamwork. After you win or lose the lane you are supposed to help your fellow teammates acquire more gold and finally you're able to team fight. If you lose a team fight it allows your enemies time to take towers and other objectives. The other objectives being neutral monsters found in the center of the map that reward gold and power-ups that will assist in beating the enemy team.
