In 1995 Fincher climbed out of the sewer and into the city for a remarkable, urban thriller called Se7en. Detective David Mills and Lt. William Somerset embark on a dangerous trail to find a serial killer that uses the seven deadly sins as his motivation for madness. One of Fincher's best films to date, it is being hailed as one of the best films of all time. Fincher's follow up to Se7en was The Game (1997).
