Rules and Regulations: What

.
As the years go by, it seems as though universities are becoming too strict with their policies and regulations. Yes, the world is changing, but should society go to these measures to prevent students from having fun? Thirty years ago the police would turn their heads to a party where they knew under-age drinking was occurring. My father told me that the only time parties would get busted by the police was after successive warnings because of excessive noise complaints from upset neighbors. These days, it seems as though police are out to catch anyone and everyone who's out to have a little fun. I understand that they are just doing their jobs, but is it really necessary to arrest someone if they are not a potential threat to themselves or anyone around them?.
These problems with universities could seriously threaten the lives of people when they enter their job fields. Without their freedom in college, these recent graduates will lack the creativity and optimism needed to be a success in the work force. All the employees at businesses will think very similarly and will lack the bright spirit that is essential to success in business. So as you can see, the strict regulations of universities hinder the success of future graduates in their new occupations.
The problem not only lies in the strict regulations of universities today, but also in the policies that stand for high schools. I played soccer in high school. As a freshman, we had to go through as sort of initiation process. It was nothing really harsh. Little tasks like picking up the stuff after practice, bringing Gatorades to our seniors, and of course the wearing of dresses to school.
One tradition was for the freshmen soccer team to do something absolutely crazy at the pep-rally before the homecoming game. This tradition had been going on for years before I entered the school. The "show" that the freshmen team put on was always kept a secret by the seniors on the team.
