A Mysterious Man

Nothing is working! Continuing to slide, my body bounces up and down from the bumps in the road. Will I ever stop? Am I going to slide off the edge? Am I going to die? At that instant the car falls into a gigantic pothole and my car jerks to a dead stop. I sigh in relief that I am still alive. I stop and take a deep breath. I now know that nothing is going to stop my journey, so I swing open my car door and pull myself out onto the muddy dirt road and continue my trek up the hill to the mysterious man's mansion. .
             By this time the rain has stopped and the cold silence of the night fills the air. My feet are covered in thick slushy mud. My shoes feel as if they are made of stone. The farther I walk up the darker the sky seems. The trees are filled with hundreds of bright yellow eyes watching my every move. Continuing up the road I trip over a rock and fall to the ground. All of a sudden the trees start to rustle and I can see the bats swooping down from the trees because of the disturbance that I have caused. I bounce to my feet and start to sprint up the hill until I reach the top, where I stop to catch my breath. I can feel my heart pounding inside of my chest.
             In the distance I can see a glimpse of the mansion. A towering brick wall surrounds the house. Grey stone crouching gargoyle statues placed on tall pillars tower over the brick wall keeping guard over the property. Walking closer to the front of the house I can see the entrance, a rusty old gate fence covered in thick green vines which layer the entire brick wall and entwine the metal bars. I slowly walk up to the metal gate.
             to examine it and plot how I"m going to get in to the property. Realizing that the brick wall is too high for me to jump, I have to think of a different way to get in, so I examine the gate to see if I can get in there. The gate is unlocked! That is how I am going to get inside the mansion walls.
