William Bradford and Jonathan Edwards


             William Bradford and Jonathan Edwards are different in so many ways. Three of those ways are their type of writing styles, their education, and what kind of work they did for a living. Jonathan Edwards went to a higher education at the age of 13, while William Bradford did not go to a higher education. Instead he studied the arts of farming. However besides there education there writing styles were different. Jonathan Edward wrote very scary sermons while William Bradford wrote stroys about his past. Both Jonathan Edwards and William Bradford were successful but they were successful in different ways. Jonathan Edwards was the minister while William Bradford was the colony governor. .
             William Bradford and Jonathan Edwards writings styles are very different. Bradford mostly wrote books about what happen to him in the past. He also wrote pomes. One of his books that he is famous for is Of Plymouth Plantation. In that book he says "They fell upon their knees and blessed the God of Heaven who had brought them over the cast and furious ocean."(pg. 28) He wrote this book about his voyage on the May Flower. Jonathan Edwards writing style were sermons to scare people to worship God in the way that they use to. One of his sermons that he is famous for is Sinner is Hands of an Angry God. In this sermon he says "The God that hold you over the pit of hell, much as one holds a spider, or some loathsome insect over the fire, abhors you, and is dreadfully provoked." (pg. 81) This sermon scared a lot of people and still dose. However Edwards and Bradford style of writing was different so was there education. .
             Bradford and Edwards education was very different. Edwards was very smart and entered Yale at the age of 13. While Bradford did not go to higher education instead was taught the practical arts of faming. Jonathan Edwards was very bright person. Ever since he was young he enjoyed learning about God. There for he went to Yale where he could learn to be a minister.
