South Park is an adult-oriented cartoon set in the small town of South Park, Colorado that airs Wednesday nights at ten o"clock on Comedy Central. It was created by two film school graduates named Trey Parker and Matt Stone. The show is developed around four, foul mouthed fourth-graders named Eric Cartman, Kyle Broflovski, Stan Marsh, and Kenny McCormick. Every episode the boys seem to stumble into new, politically incorrect, often far fetched, and often offensive subject matter that affects their small town of South Park. .
The show has been a great success ever since its premiere in 1997.
It is easy to see why too. The shows" writing is excellent and seems to get better as each of its seasons pass. The characters in the show all have very unique personalities, which help create an excellent source of conflict and hilarious dialogue for the episodes. The four boy's personalities are fuel for the show's hilarious and off the wall plot lines. Each has a different viewpoint on things and attitude towards different subjects. Eric Cartman is the "fat kid" and the other kids constantly make fun of him because of his weight. He's also the stupid one who mixes things up and makes himself look like an idiot while sparking very interesting and entertaining plot lines. Kyle Broflovski is the smart one and often at the end of Cartman's jokes. Everyone makes fun of him because he is Jewish and each episode he announces that Kenny's killers are Bastards. Stan Marsh is a normal, average, American, mixed-up kid. He is the South Park Elementary Cows star Quarterback. He has a gay dog named Sparky and an older sister named Shelly who beats him up often. Every episode Stan announces Kenny's death by saying "Oh my god, they killed Kenny!" Kenny McCormick is the unlucky one and dies a different way each episode. He is poor and lives in a run-down shack with his violent and drunken family. He is muffled when he speaks, and we are left only to guess at what he says each episode.
