Home Invasion


            
             Do you know of someone that is a victim of burglary? Do you ever think something like this would never happen to you? If not, think again, it could. My husband and I did not think it would ever happen to us, but it did, in a matter of three hours. Everyone must be prepared. One never knows if someone is watching your house waiting for you to leave. What about that big party you had trusting everyone in your home. Their may be that one person in the crowd, scanning your possessions to see what you own. It only takes one home invasion to rip your life apart forever. On a sunny Sunday afternoon around two-o"clock, my husband, daughter and I, decided to go grocery shopping. We drove into our driveway around five-o"clock. Opening the garage door, we noticed the inside door to the kitchen was standing wide open. Jokingly I said, "We have ghosts." My husband proceeded into the house carrying groceries, while I was unloading our daughter. At the same time, our friends came over to pick up their car Kevin had worked on, so I walked back to visit them. At that moment, Kevin came running out of the house yelling, "We have been robbed!" Kevin and Gordy took off to the fields to see if they could see anyone, while I dialed 911. I handed my daughter over to Millie so I could go into the house. When I walked into the entry way of the kitchen, most cupboard doors and drawers were wide open, the television was at full volume of static, and the only thing I could do was drop to my knees and scream, "Oh my god!" Finally, I was ready to get up on my feet to see what other kind of damage the burglars had caused. I approached the dining and living room areas to find all electronic equipment ripped out of the walls, leaving the cords behind. What good are electronics without their cords?
