             The face of management in the future is going to change, particularly as it applies to the four major functions of management: Planning, Organizing, Leading and Controlling. The most successful organizations in today's economy have already demonstrated the benefits of innovation and creativity in each, and the trend will likely only continue. Management of the future has an appearance that looks far more like people working in groups together to accomplish common goals. Leadership was not always a requirement of management. There are many managers in the work place that have extremely poor leadership skills. A good leader is an individual the can influence others and help them accomplish their goals. In the past being a good leader was not a requirement of management, but with each passing year it gains importance.
             With the constant change in technology the managers of the future are going to have to trust their employees more than ever. With the constant improvement in computer technology I can envision the future manager and employee communicating almost strictly through web based services. By using a web-cam, managers and employees will be able to see each other through the computer while communicating. I think that in the future, companies will not have as many offices, but rather hire employees to work out of their homes. This would be a major saving to the company by not having to pay for a building and all of the necessities needed to keep the building functional such as lights, phones, air condition etc. Companies today are always trying to cut cost wherever it is possible. By having employee's work from home and the managers keeping in constant commutation with them a company would be able to save enormous amounts of money in the long run by not having to pay for buildings.
