Self-Efficiency Reaction

            
             The article self-efficiency toward a unifying theory of behavioral changes is very important to the field of psychology. The research in this article talks about how psychological procedures have the ability to change a person's self-efficiency. The theory of personal efficiency is broken down into four basic ideas. One idea is how an individual's self-efficiency may change due the persons past performance and accomplishments during a certain situation. The author focuses on how this idea may be due to the way a person learns the right way to act due to failure or success in the same situation.
             Another variable of self- efficiency is the varcarious experience. This experience is based on modeling behavior, where an individual will be more willing to attempt a difficult activity if they have seen someone else succefully complete with no ramifications. Hence the saying "if they can do it I can do it better". Another idea in this article is verbal persuasion, which is self-explanatory. An individuals actions are steered by others people positive feedback on how they should act in a given situation. The forth idea in this article is emotional arousal. This idea I didn't understand that well, but I think it is means that being anxious or having negative arousal it may affect your self-efficiency.
             The article like all articles has its strengths and weaknesses. I think the strength of this article was how detailed oriented it was and how it provided many examples that could be easily be carried over into the readers life. The article provided charts, which allowed the reader to have a visuals understanding as well. The weakness in the article was that not all the concepts where proved to help self-efficiency. The four concepts discussed above are well organized and laid out. It makes the authors use of evidence very effective and allows the reader to apply it into personal situations.
