The first amendment

             The First Amendment.
             Out of all of the amendment in the constitution I think that the first is my favorite. I think I favor this one out of all of the others because it gives people the right to speak what is on their mind or practice a certain religion and the right to assemble peacefully and petition the government. I think that this amendment describes all of America because there are so many types of people in this country that express themselves daily weather it be talking on the streets or writing them on a piece of paper. People all over the world would love to have the rights of the first amendment alone in their country. I think that the founding fathers put this one at the top of the list because this is what most people in the colonies wanted. They did not want to have their country turn into England with all of the laws and not have any rights for the people. This amendment came about during the American Revolution when the delegates produced the bill of rights. I think that if there was no first amendment there would be more wars between our own people because of everyone's beliefs. With out the first amendment people have no freedoms to express themselves and they would try to gain these rights by fighting for them. The American Revolution started because of the colonists had no rights for themselves and they were helpless from the British rule over them. In conclusion it thinks that the first amendment is my favorite because it gave us the people the rights to express ourselves in the ways of the first amendment. I think that people should respect these rights because so many people fought and died to protect the rights of our people. .
