My fair lady

"My Fair Lady," is a musical comedy that tells about a poor flower girl, Eliza, who is later transformed into a proper lady. She spoke very bad English, with a cockney accent, and was very strong spirited. In the movie, "My Fair Lady," Eliza was not better for the changes because towards the end of the movie she spoke like she normally did. "Common, move your bloomin" legs." This was the most important part of the movie where Eliza yelled out in front of many people during the horse race. .
The setting of the movie takes place in England, where Professor Henry Higgins and Colonel Pickering discover a poor lady selling flowers and spewing out the most dreadful words in a cockney accent. When Professor Higgins throws money into her flower basket, we expect that they will never meet again. Eliza proudly marches up to the professor's home and demands to be taught how to speak like a lady. Colonel Pickering then makes a bet with Professor Higgins and says that if he can turn this poor lady into a decent lady he will pay for all the expenses. Although at first, reluctant, Higgins, intrigued by the challenge of teaching her how to speak, he finally agrees. He then tells her that for the next six months, she was to stay at his house, learning how to speak beautifully like a lady.
There are some stereo types that are attributed to Eliza such as her not being able to speak well, she then has no feelings and the way that she dresses she is considered poor. Higgins is ruthless in pushing Eliza. In addition, to cleaning her up, teaching her how to behave in society, and instructing her about what to wear, he completely re-shapes her language skills. Bad pronunciation and trouble with vowels are some of the vocal problems that Eliza has. So by depriving her of sleep and forcing her to repeat phrases like, "The rain in Spain falls mainly in the plain," he hopes to get rid of her ghastly accent. He uses tools of persuasion to attract her by telling her that there are more jobs to do if she learns more and persuades her with food and money.
