Spider Man

Spider Man is a movie I watched this past week. While this movie was action packed with no stopping suspense, I felt that they did an extremely poor job of portraying what a real spider is like. This movie had many flaws, from silk spitting out of his hands to him having super power senses. In this paper I will discuss the many different issues that I felt was wrong with the movie.
The movie starts off with a young man named Peter Parker who was bitten by a radioactive spider. Then amazingly he now can turn into this great superhero. This right here brings up flashing red lights. I have never heard of a man who can magically turn into a spider because he was bitten by one. .
Next we find this human spider swinging from skyscraper to skyscraper. I have never heard of such an absurd thing in my life. This falsely represents what real spiders are like. The ridiculous thing about it is that his magic web comes out of his hands. In real life spiders spin webs from their abdomen. .
Spider Man is the first "spider" that I have seen with two hands and two legs. All normal spiders have four pairs of legs. Also they use all four to walk on. Spider Man only needs his two feet. I also find it quite odd that this character has a head and a mouth that closely resemble the one of a human. .
This movie did a very poor job of depicting what a real spider looks like and how they act. A true spider can not swing from building to building, they can not walk on two legs, plus I have never seen silk web come out of their wrists. If I didn't know any better I thought this was a human dressed up in some costume waiting for Halloween. The movie was disappointing over all. I did not gain any valuable knowledge from it. It just left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
