The "Princesse de Broglie" is a French painting done by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres during the years of 1851-1853. The subject matter of this photo-realistic painting is a woman of royalty. The focal point in this painting is the woman's dress. My path of vision then travels to the golden chair and to the woman's hands covered in jewelry. The path of vision then continues up to the neckline and up to the woman's face. The painting contains mostly cool colors with the exception of the warm yellow hues within the chair and the jewelry. The painting has mixed value contrasts of low and high values. The subject matter is of excellent proportion and scale. The painting is asymmetrical with no apparent radial balance. There is a silky texture present throughout the painting. This is a very accurate and detailed painting most likely done for a royal family due to the jewelry, wardrobe and royal seal shown in the painting as well. .

             ANALYSIS:.
"Two Girls at the Piano" is a French painting created by Pierre-Auguste Renoir in 1892. The subject matter of this painting is the two girls around the piano. This is a representational painting and the focal point is the girl holding the music book. The path of vision travels to the vase of flowers and then to the girl standing up. The path of vision continues to the chair and back to the piano. The painting consists of warm colors with very few cool colors such as the blue ribbon and the curtains. The painting has low value contrast and is asymmetrical. There is no radial balance and the painting has perfect scale. There is an implied narrative to the painting most likely of the two girls practicing to play the piano together or maybe even giving a performance to a home audience.
