Religious Discimination

In the Bill of Rights, the first amendment states that every US citizen has a right to freedom of religion and belief. If this is so, why do people end up getting killed for confessing to believing in God? Why are there times when people are looked down apon because of their beliefs? These are just a couple questions I've asked myself. We should all follow the first amendment and give everyone the freedom of religion. .
Thinking back to Columbine, the first thing I think of is the girl who got shot after they asked if she believed in God. After she responded yes, she was shot and killed instantly. Knowing how most Christians act, I feel that she would of been one of the nicest girls in the school. She would of known how to treat people fairly and not .

Or are people like the girl who got shot the ones that should be discriminated? I feel that neither group should be, but it seems that .
people with religions and people who stand up for what they believe in are the oncewho get discriminated most. .
Some people who have religions don't show them around the school. Could this be because they are afraid of what people might say or do to them knowing they have a religion? How would people feel if they walked into a building knowing they couldn't show they religion, but they knew that if they didn't someone with the same religion might look down on them for not sharing their word.
