Contemporary art

            Sometimes non technological or "primitive" tribal groups can be sources of inspiration for contemporary artists. Find three examples of such art that has had a strong influence on contemporary western art. Write a brief paragraph for each, describing each of your three examples and the suspected influence. .
             The Egyptians are one example of a strong influence of contemporary art. Their statues and their pyramids are magnificent pieces of art. They would carve wooden figures of people for their afterlife after they were dead. The sculptures of the kings are still very impressive even with today's standards. Not only were they good sculptors, but they could also take good care of their statues. After spending time on the dead, they turned their focused to the living. The sculptor of queen nefertiti is amazing considering what Egyptians had to work with. .
             Greek art is my next example of a strong influence of contemporary art. Greek art was popularized with their statues of the Greek gods. I believe the influence they had on contemporary art was that it was ok for statues to be of people in the nude. The Greeks were amazed with the human body, and because of this it open doors for other artist in our time to do the same thing.
             The early Christian art is my last example. Because of this era, churches today are as pretty as ever before. Their art work on the inside walls describing the bible helped develop picture art for our era. Their designs of the churches are still some of the best churches built in the whole world. They helped with the design of pictured glass which is still used today. .
