Hockey Season

             At the beginning of the season I had never played hockey before. My hockey skills improved greatly during the time we spent in season. After the fires half of the season I felt that my team and I worked very well together. When everyone was playing we became synchronized. We were able to anticipate where the other players would be, and play accordingly. .
             During practice, our team usually used the time effectively. We became accustomed to certain positions and would practice accordingly. We also came up with strategies to enable us to play more effectively. During practice we worked on our skills and then discuss any new strategies. Before the game we analyzed the other team's players and decided who would probably be the most threatening. We would then decide how to ether work around the players or to counter their skill. During half time we would discuss what was working and what needed to be fixed. I think our team worked very well. I think some of the players were wary of the whole idea of playing hockey, particularly having a set team. At the end of the season all the people on my team were very enthusiastic about playing hockey, and I think everyone put their best effort into the game. .
             I think we all did a pretty good job with our team roles. AW was an excellent captain. He was very encouraging and did a good job leading drills and discussions. I don't recall who the equipment manager was, but we had no problems with that as far as I know. There were a few problems with refereeing, but that was because of lack of experience and not lack of effort. I was somewhat hesitant at calling fouls, and M called almost no fouls. When I did call a foul, some of the players would ether argue about it or give me a hard time for not calling something after that. .
             Over all I think this was a good experience for all the people on our team. We ended up working as a team very well, and had a lot of fun.
