Shoe Categories

In the United States there are many types of shoes on the market today. The types of shoes range from athletic all the way to dress shoes. They can all be put into different categories for how they look, what type of sole they have, if they have laces, if they are all leather, or if they have any plastic or metal on them. Those are all ways to categorize types of shoes. I am going to be categorizing shoes by if they are athletic, casual, or dress. There are many kinds of shoes that will belong to each of these categories. I will explain each category and what type of shoes will belong in the category and why they will belong there.
The characteristics of athletic shoes include what brand they are, what type of sole they have, what they are made out of, if there are any sort of decals on them besides those of the same material that the shoe is made out of, and the cost of them. The most common athletic shoe would probably be Nike. Another very common athletic shoe is the brand Reebok. Some other brands of athletic shoes out on the market today include: Adidas, Air Jordan, Asics, Dada, and Puma. The type of sole that most athletic shoes have is a soft rubber one. The soft rubber is for more bounce in the athletes step and for more comfort as well. These shoes do have decals on them such as the Nike swoosh sign, the Reebok logo, and so on. None of the decals, however, on these athletic shoes are made out of any hard material. When I say hard material I mean any sort of plastic or metal. Most of these shoes are made out of full grain leather making for better flexibility, but yet enough support to prevent athletes from getting injured. Athletic shoes range from eighty to one hundred and fifty dollars normally. Those prices are for the top brands that I have listed above in this paragraph. The most expensive brands are usually Air Jordan shoes, by Michael Jordan, Nike, Adidas, and Reebok.
