Haunted Territory

It's a cold gloomy night standing in front of an old abondoned hill near an ancient Indian burial ground right outside of town. Legend has it that every Halloween night the old Indian spirits come back from the dead to make a ceremonial sacrifice to there higher power. Rumor had it that about six years ago three people set out to solve the mystery and never returned from there journey. Many people around town feel the expeditioners were sacrificed to the higher power through a religious Indian ritual which has been dated back since the beginning of time. Myself and my two best friends John and Mike decide to embark on a stake out of the ancient Indian burial site to see if the legend holds true. .
Standing in front of this enormous abandoned hill, my friends and I were very intimidated and nervous about pursuing this exploration. Looking over at John I saw the look of fear and discomfort in his eyes as we started the long and rigorous journey up the hill. Step by step I can see that Mike is trembling at his knees and is perspiring all over himself. The butterflies must have been getting to Mike and he vomited all over the side of the hill. I handed Mike a little blue handkerchief for him to wipe his forehead with and asked, "Are you alright?" He looked nervously back at me and exclaimed, "I"ll survive, at least I hope we"ll all survive this trip." All I could do was look at John and chuckle at the comment that Mike made to keep the group morale up. The closer we approached the top of the hill the more anxious and overwhelmed I became to finally reveal the truth about the town hoax. I started cracking wise jokes about the Indians to John and Mike to relieve the tension there was between our stomachs and the food we ate about an hour ago. John ran ahead of the group towards the top of the hill, while trying to show off he tripped on a large branch that was sticking out of the earth's crust and we watched him tumble down the large hill.
