Muslims and catholics


            Muslims believe in the revealed books mentioned in the Qur" an which are Zabur, Tawrat, Injil, and Suhufi Ibrahim. Zabur are the Psalms of David, Tawrat is the Torah of Moses, Injil is the Gospel of Jesus, and Suhufi Ibrahim are the scrolls of Abraham. The Hadith is what the prophet Muhammad said and did. The Sunnah is the book of rules and regulations of Muslim life. These are the ways by which Islamic belief and practice are regulated. .
             The Five Pillars are the duties expected of every Sunni believer from the age of fifteen. Some Muslim theologians added the sixth pillar of jihad ("holy war"). Shi" a Muslims make recognition of the Imam as a pillar as well. The first pillar is Shahadah, which is the profession of faith for the Muslims and it says, "There is no god but God (Allah) and Muhammad was the messenger for God (Allah). The second pillar is Salat, which are prayers five times a day. The third pillar is Zakat, which is welfare contribution. Fourth is Sawm, which is fasting during Ramadan. The fifth pillar is Hajj, which is the pilgrimage to Mecca. .
             The Seven Basic Beliefs are the simplified components of Muslim faith. They are belief in one God, in the prophets (messengers), in the books, the unseen (angels), the Day of Judgment, destiny, and life after death (Akhirah). The oneness of Allah (Tawhid) is by far the most important. Risalah is the major work of the scholar Muhammad ibn Idris al- Shafi (767- 820), which introduced the concept of community consensus into Sunni Muslim law. Angels Messengers and books belong in the category of Risalah. God (Allah) and pre- destination (Al- Qadar) belong in the category of Tawhid. The hereafter (Al- yawm) and judgment belong in the category of Akhirah.

             Catholics believe in the Bible. These are all the works put together by the prophets and other people who have experienced God's revelation. The Old Testament is about the times before Jesus came to earth.
