             The researcher thinks that Friar Laurence is the one who contributed to Romeo and Juliet's death. Friar Laurence gave the potion that made a person sleep for a prolonged period of time to Juliet that in turn made people think that Juliet was dead. Friar Laurence sent a letter to Romeo, which he did not receive. Friar Laurence went to Friar John he asked to deliver the letter to Romeo and asked "what did Romeo say to my letter" and Friar John said "I was not able to get the letter Romeo because he could not go to the place because of a virus." Friar Laurence was thinking of himself when he married Romeo & Juliet; he thought it would make the prince happy because he joined the two families together. Friar Laurence knew that Romeo did not receive the letter and thought that since Romeo did not receive the letter that he would not show up to see Juliet. A quote from Katie B. So Romeo thought that she was dead. Friar said on ACT 4, Scene 1, lines 93-106:.

             And this distilling liquor drink thou off; .
             When presently through all thy veins shall run .
             A cold and drowsy humor; for no pulse .
             Shall keep his native progress, but surcease; .
             No warmth, no breath, shall testify thou livest; .
             The roses in thy lips and cheeks shall fade .
             To wanny ashes, thy eyes" windows fall .
             Like death when he shuts up the day of life .
