Friedensreich Hundertwasser

.
Some of Hundertwasser's favourite forms of architecture are found in slums, where inhabitants have built their homes out of any materials they could find. "Everyone should make his own architecture, he should be able to construct what he likes, with feathers, grass or paper, even if the building collapses.".
Hundertwasser's revolutionary architectural ideas also include topping buildings with trees and areas where animals can graze, and creating floor surfaces that are unlevel. .
Over the years he worked on many projects throughout Europe, each with its own individual yet practical approach to design and architecture.
And these are some of those works:-.
             Church of St. Barbara, Bãrnbach.
On the initiative of Father Friedrich Zeck, Hundertwasser accepted the task of redesigning the Church of St. Barbara in Bãrnbach. His condition for doing so was that the surroundings of the church had to be included in the planning.
With the design of twelve gates standing for all the great religions in the world, Hundertwasser made a gesture of ecumenism, tolerance and togetherness.
For the design of the interior, artists from the region were given commissions. Hundertwasser only designed the aureole behind the altar, the floor of the Presbyterian and the spiral of the window behind the baptismal font. .
Housing Complex "In the Meadows", Bad Soden, Taunus.
Hundertwasser's architecture seemed ideal for a building which had to fit harmoniously with its human and natural environment. In the heart of the city, between Wilhelmspark and "Springs Park", the building complex designed by Hundertwasser, is surrounded by buildings also integrated and refurbished with the modernisation, among them a house under protection as an historic monument, built in 1722, the first Soden spa hall, called Haus Bockenheimer.
In order to secure the difficult construction grounds without impacting on the groundwater currents in the protected area (the source of the mineral spring) 250 concrete columns had to be sunk up to 15 m deep to serve as supportive elements.
