The turn of the screw

Plot events: Well Douglas begins to read a personal account written by his sister years back. Miss Jessel sees the ghost and Flora and Mrs. Grose don't seem to see it. Miles thinks that the horror is Peter Quint. Then all of a sudden the governess notices that miles hear has stopped, he dies.
             V. Character Development: Douglas is a nice man but is still sad about his sister's death. Flora is a little girl who is perfect who behaves perfect and is preety. Miles is a man who doesn't really trust a lot of people but is nice and trust worthy. Douglas's character was believable because we could relate to what he says and believes, so was the character of Flora she seems like any other little girl her age. Miles isn't as believable as the other ones because he always doubts things about the horror.
VI. Themes of the novel: Well I think the authors message is that we might hear things that might make us believe in something that isn't true. It was a kind of a difficult theme to understand but what I got out 9of it was that u don't always have to believe in what people tell u but that you have to go out and find out the truth before you start making allegations and what not. I think he chose this theme because there's lots of people out there whether its young people or old people who believe everything other people tell them and the consequences are bad they could end up hurting other people and I think that message goes out to those people. Our not suppose to just take what people say and believe it right away. You need to go out there and investigate for your self. People will eventually learn how to do there own investigating and learn when things are true and when they aren't.
VII. Conflict: One of the conflicts was when I found out that Douglas's sister had died. He kind of had a problem accepting it although it had been a few years back. Another conflict was when they were trying to find out who the horror was they weren't sure who it was some of them were saying Miles was the horror while miles said it was Peter.
