Jason and the Argonauts

In order for Jason to take the throne from his evil uncle Pelias he must retrieve the Golden Fleece from Colchis. On this journey Jason takes with him a crew on the Argo, but on the way he encounters challenges which he must complete in order to achieve his goal.
The myth of Jason and the Argonauts travels to many places. The first place it is set is on Mt Pelion, located on the Pagasitikos Bay, where Jason was brought up by Chiron the centaur, to avoid being murdered by King Pelias. .
We then travel to the Thessalian city of Iolcus (today Volos) where Jason challenged his uncle Pelias for the throne of the kingdom. This is also the place where Jason set off on his conquest for the Golden Fleece with his fellow Argonauts.
Next we travel to Chios where the Argonauts had a rest and Hylas, Heracles" supposed lover, was kidnapped by a water nymph that had fallen in love with him. When Heracles went to find him, the Argonauts thought he was missing and eventually left without them both.
When the Argonauts saw a withered man on Bithynia, their next place of visit, they stopped to help him free of his unjust punishment from Zeus and then continued on their journey.
Finally the Argonauts reached their final destination of Colchis (modern day Georgia) It was here that Jason finally obtained the fleece, but not after completing an arduous task, and married Medea, The King of Colchis", Aetes, daughter.
After obtaining the fleece, Jason returned to Iolcus where the people didn't accept him as he eventually left Medea for the princess of Corinth, only after Medea murdered King Pelias.
There were many mythical beasts in Jason and the Argonauts, including water nymphs, dragons and fire-breathing bulls. But out of the four beasts in the story, I decided that I would choose to describe the Harpies.
In the story the harpies are described as creatures with wings and sharp claws, the body of a woman, but the legs and wings of a bird.
