Over thirty line the streets of Madrid, full of history and art. One of the most famous of these museums is the Prado, it has one of the most important painting collections worldwide. It includes pieces from Goya, Velazquez, El Greco, Zurbaran, and Murillo. Other museums include the Bullfighting Museum, the Army Museum, the Africa Museum, and the Romantic Museum. .
Spain's capitol also is widely known for its celebrations and festivals. The celebration of New Years is an interesting one. Many people gather together at Puerta del Sol as the clock strikes down to midnight, everybody gathered tries to eat twelve grapes, which is believed to bring good luck. Another world renown one is the Fiesta de San Isidro, which takes place on May 15th. It celebrates Madrid's patrons and includes several concerts, and public performances, as well as the best bullfights of the year. .

Madrid produces many dishes including lamb and veal but because of its location it is better known as the paradise for fish lovers.
