Lord of the flies

In the beginning of the book a boy named Ralph goes down some rocks toward a lagoon on a beach and he meets a chubby boy who introduces himself as Piggy. By the two of them talking I found out that they were in a war and a plane that was carrying a group of English boys was shot down and crashed in the jungle. The survivors were trying to find each other and the pilot. Ralph and Piggy started to wonder around the beach searching for the other boys from the plane. They ended up finding a large pink- and cream-colored conch shell. Piggy told Ralph to blow in it because it could be used as some sort of trumpet to find the boys. So he blew in it and it worked the boys started to come out onto the beach the oldest was about twelve and the youngest was about six. In the group there was a boys choir. They were dressed in black gowns and led by an older boy named Jack. They march to the beach in two parallel lines, and Jack yelled at them to stand at attention. They all taunt Piggy and made fun of him for being big and his nick name.
The boys all decided to choose a leader for the group. All the choir boys voted for jack but everyone else voted for Ralph. So Ralph became the leader but he knew Jack wanted to be the leader so he put him in charge of the choir boys for hunting. They knew that the island had to be explored and Piggy was bugging Ralph to be in charge of exploring but he sent Jack and one of the choir boys named Simon instead. Ralph and the other two boys explore the whole jungle from end to end and didn't find anything, Ralph says it's like they discovered their own land. On the way back they saw a pig that was stuck, and Jack pulled out his knife to kill it but he couldn't because he hesitated and the pig got away. He said he would never hesitate at killing again. .
