             That first day of college was one I will never forget it has tremendously changed my life. It was unlike any other day of school. I was taking all the classes that I wanted to take, and meeting interesting new people. But little did I know college was not all it was cracked up to be.
             As my alarm clock rang in the morning of the first day of college, I woke up in an immediate panic. I had so many different things on my mind, from what I was going to wear that day to worrying about finding all my classes. I had so many numerous emotions running through me. It was my first time to really be away from home, so I was a little nervous about starting a part of my life in a new place and a new school. Not knowing any one also played a small role in my emotional rollercoaster.(this sentence doesn't make sense) I moved from fear to excitement as it drew closer to the time when my first class was about to start. This was all a new experience for me. As I was walking to my first class my anticipation grew massively. I felt so energized when I walked into the building and down the stairs to the ancient, reeking basement. The class room was a big auditorium with the most unattractive orange and yellow chairs. The air smelled extremely stale and old as if the room had been locked up and not used in ages. .
             I took my seat and waited for the teacher to arrive. As the students began to pile into the room I started talking to some of them and getting to know the people I would be spending the next sixteen weeks with. Finally the teacher walked in. I did not know what to expect when I saw him. He was a sixty year old German with long grey hair. He was dressed very casually and didn't say much at first, just stared at us. Then he took roll and began going over what he expected of us. Seeing that his expectations were a little too high most of us just sat there with our mouths hanging wide open, wondering how we were going to survive this history class.
