Proletarian, Proletarians are similar to the Epsilons of Brave New World. The groups in Brave .
New World are programmed, both through the treatment as embryos and through .
Hypnopaedia (a method of teaching while you sleep), to behave in the same way within their .
classes, and therefore allow social stability. This removes individuality among the lower classes, .
and creates stability throughout, as every class is programmed ,through childhood, to be suited .
for the jobs in which they will be placed, and to be happy within their class .

drug can also be seen to symbolize the detachment of the people from their own humanity. .
In the novel 1984 they use a unique form of controlling the .
Proles emotions. The government in 1984 uses a special lottery, a lottery that has it's .
weekly pay-off of enormous prizes. The lottery is the one thing the Proles look .
forward to and pay serious attention to, it's their delight, and their .
intellectual stimulant. The lottery was used to keep the population entertained and .

such as state control and government so as they would not interfere. .
The party, in 1984, could also provoke thoughts and feelings through .
