Roe vs. Wade = Abortion


            
             Abortion ends a new life growing inside a mother's womb. Initially, the mother may see abortion as the easy way out, but most women are so traumatized by her horrible experience that in most cases she goes crazy. Furthermore, it is more than likely that she will experience horrible nightmares. It has been proven that mothers who has had an abortion are cruel to any children she has later because of guilt. .
             Could you live with a decision of that magnitude for the rest of your life? Most women fail to realize how developed the baby is at the time of abortion. More than fifty- percent of pregnancies among American women are unintended; half of these are terminated by abortion. Six out of ten women who have abortions has went through contraceptive failure (The Alan Guttmacher Institute vol.2).
             Norma McCorvey, also known as Jane Roe, was pregnant unstable abandoned and poor. She wanted to get an abortion because she could not have another child at this point in her life. She had previously given birth to two children . In which her mother had one and her father had custody of the other. She once called this time in her life: "I was pregnant with my third child . . . I was . . . A twenty-one-year-old nobody at the end of my rope " (McCorvey with Meisler 101). .
             McCorvey went to seek legal advice because a doctor refused to help her abort her baby. Linda Coffee and Sarah Weddington offered to take the case probono, which means that they are not charging a fee (Durrett 12). Norma thought that they were going to help her out, but they were in need of a client to name in a case that would challenge the Texas laws against abortion ( Durrett 12). Norma not once thought that this case would help out every women in the country to have a voice and be able to do what they want to do with what is growing inside of them.
             Jane roe and Norma McCorvey is the same person. Norma changed her name to hide her identity for the court case.
