             This type of paper will inform you about the career as a Nutritionist/Personal Trainer and why it is an important career in society today and what the qualifications and job outlook for my career. Since I had to lose over 60lbs to join the Military, I know what it is like to be fat and out of shape and I want to help people lose weight and get into some kind of shape.
             The education and training for this career is either a Bachelor's Degree or a Masters Degree. The first kind of nutritionist is a Registered Dietitian (RD) where you complete the four year Bachelor's Program and the courses approved by the Commission of on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE), then you have to go through CADE-accredited practice program at an approved facility. Then you must pass an examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Another type of a Nutritionist is a Certified Clinical Nutritionist (CCN) which requires a bachelor's degree or advanced medical degree and is issued by the Clinical Nutrition Certification Board. Another option is to become a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS). A CNS has an advanced degree, masters or doctoral degree from an accredited institution. The CNS must complete either 1,000 hours of supervised professional experience in nutritional related activities or 4,000 hours of independent experience as a professional nutritionist as a dietitian, nutrition researcher, or public policy nutritionist. The shortest way is to become a Certified Nutritionist (CN) through an 18 to 24 month class which you can taken on the Internet. (Cotton, Richard T.).
             A good way to become a Personal Trainer is to contact the National Council of Strength.
             and Fitness (NCSF) Personal Trainer Certification Programs. To become a certified trainer with the NCSF, you can participate in one of several different course models, is designed to teach the ways of sound health screening, training instruction and exercise programming.
