The Stillaguamish Indian's.

The Stillaguamish and the Ocmulgee Indians have some similarities and some differences. I am comparing and contrasting these two Indian tribes. It will be a good thing to read because it will give lots of information.
The Stillaguamish Indians lived on the Northwest coast of Washington State. They lived near a river, which today is called the Stillaguamish River.
The Ocmulgee Indians lived in a completely different area. They lived in Southeast Georgia. They did not live on the coast though.
The climate of the Stillaguamish was not that warm, it was mostly cold. It was not humid or very hot. It was pretty much in the middle. It was also kind of rainy.
The Ocmulgee had a completely different climate. Theirs was hot and humid. Only a few months out of the year they had a lot of rain. It was an annoying climate for them to live in.
The homes of the Stillaguamish were very long. That is why they are called long houses. They were made out of wood and brush. The used other materials to cover the roof. Sometimes up to four families would live in one long house. That is pretty big.
The Ocmulgee homes were a lot different. They were called wattle and daub. These houses were made of many different materials.
The clothing that the Stillaguamish wore was different for each gender and age group. The women of the tribe wore cedar bark girdles weaved with plant fiber. The men wore nothing. The children wore nothing except for some times they would wear small pieces of animal fur or hide as a sort of loin cloth.
The Ocmulgee Indians had a similar type of clothing system. The women also wore breechcloth or bark girdles. The men and children wore pieces of animal hide and fur as jackets and other pieces.
The Stillaguamish mostly ate seafood. They ate this because it was the nearest and easily gathered source of food. It was usually salmon, claims and other food of that sort.
The Ocmulgee had a very different type of diet.
