Arranged marriages

I believe that arranged marriages are a social injustice. I feel that they deprive individuals of their choice. Marriage is a commitment of two people who have made a vow to love each other till death. .
North America, in fact Canada is known as a free country, in which you are free to make your own independent choices. For that matter, arranged marriages would not be able to lead to a good outcome. Generally, citizens of this country are brought up to make their own choices and speak their own minds. They have the right to protest against what they do not approve of. A marriage should be between two people who love each other by choice.
It's not some thing which would work in this country. The fact that it has positive results in other cultures and countries is their beliefs and values. Women aren't given a choice. Men have the most say in every thing and get their time to work things out. In comparison to this society where democracy exists and people are able to make their own choice, people will not have that sense of commitment and a chance to make some thing work.
Although arranged marriage persists in many cultures today, as modernization proceeds and many areas become part of the global economy, parental influences on marriage continue to decline. Young people who work for wages rather than on the family's land no longer depend as highly on their parents' resources. As Western popular culture "including motion pictures, television, music, and fashion "spreads around the world, many young people are drawn to Western notions of love, romance, and individual choice. Arranged marriages decline as the cultures and countries all over the world are influenced by the free choice marriage. Even in countries such as India China and Pakistan the tradition is gradually taking a different shape. The arranged marriage is more like an "influenced marriage-. The mates have the right to meet before and decide rather then just meeting for the first time on their marriage day.
