Biological: Genetics, Hormones, and Medical Issues.
Social Cultural: Religion, Ethnicity, and Peers.
Psychological: Body Image, Confidence, and Adjusting to Life Stages.
The biological Category begins with genetics, I think that what you received from your parents will greatly affect your sexuality. Hormones are constantly fluctuating throughout your life, which can either put a strain or help your sexual moods. Medical Issues are a big role, some diseases greatly affect certain sexual things you can do, and can even limit how sexual you feel.
The social category has to do with religion, a major factor in my life. I am Catholic and this religion has many strict issues to abide by, some I have chosen to agree with and some I have not. Ethnicity also plays a big role. I am from Portuguese decent and sexual issues don't really get expressed, it is something that is kept to yourself. Peers are a major factor these days, the saying "Everyone's doing It," comes to mind. Today people are getting pressured really early, and it just seems as if kids are growing up way to fast sexually.
The psychological category has Body Image, I don't like a lot of things about my body and sometimes it shows in my moods. I feel that a lot of people, including myself, put to much into their looks and it doesn't help them open up sexually like they should. This ties right into Confidence, if I don't have confidence in myself then how will I be able to commit fully to someone sexually? Adjusting to Life Stages can be really hard for some people, because as you get older you find yourself wanting to explore more, but there are so many factors, like religion, peers and ethnicity, that keep you away, and keep you confused.
Every factor in the Holistic Circle ties together in one form or another. There is so much to consider and so much to try.
