Acid Planet Rating System

On March 8 2004, DJ ShuiShui began a thread about an arrogant DJ, DJ MaXsTeR, which was entitled "shocking news". ShuiShui stated that "he even said he owned toby and that his songs played on radio lol. lets give him some real feedback guys, the future of music depends on our honesty." One member who refused to review the songs stated that "I need the full story before I go and grab my pitchfork- Later in the thread, D-Element stated that his first songs were better than his last, and that "Everyone her is better then him". His own post showed a touch of arrogance, and also resentment towards DJ MaXsTeR. .
This thread began a flood of TEFO members reviewing his songs. Needless to say, the majority of these reviews were negative. One member decided not to listen to the song, but announced that he had given him an 8 anyways. This was followed by the response "this song is not a 8/10 max 5/10- from D-Element. These reviews were followed by a host of immature and inaccurate one-line reviews. Many of the members gave ones and twos on the songs. However, there were several honest members who did give a semi-decent review, but, I must note that there were only a few. .
What was the cause of these reviews you ask? His arrogance was to blame. This led to the question of weather or not the members would do the same thing to another person who seemed arrogant. An experiment was formed. The experiment was to bring someone who appeared to be arrogant into the forums. This person would advertise their music and ask for reviews, but in an arrogant way. "DJ Konnag" then posted a message entitled "Hi, please check out my song". In this post, he showed that he was arrogant by stating that he had won several competitions and that he was getting a record deal. This topic made a few people angry. Once again, the song got lots of bad reviews; however, there were a few more nice reviews than in the last case. It seemed as if several people had changed their minds about the relationship between personality and music.
