Paintball

There is only one sport that legally allows you to shoot at your opponents. Paintball is an adrenaline pumping sport that requires keen perception and much teamwork. Although paintball does require shooting at people, it is not a violent sport. The primary objective of most paintball matches is to capture a flag; shooting at your opponents to eliminate them is secondary.
The rules of paintball are easy to understand, but are a bit more flexible than those of other sports. Each team starts on opposite sides of a field looking away from each other. Each team usually consists of three, five, seven, or ten members. The field is scattered with different sizes and types of bunkers to hide behind while reloading in strategizing. A referee will yell, "GO!" and the teams will start running toward each other with certain team members shooting at very high rates of fire across the field. There are several referees on the field to check players when think they might be hit. A referee will call a "hit" if there is a noticeable amount of paint on one spot of a player, and that player is eliminated from the round. The paint can be anywhere on the person including his mask, and gun. If the referee does not feel there is a substantial amount of paint, then he will wipe the bit that is there and dub the player "clean." This is where the rules become a bit fuzzy. A player cannot be eliminated by a "splatter," which is the paint that is sprayed from a ball that exploded on a bunker near the player. The fairness of the game relies solely on the judgment of referees and honesty of players.
Each team consists of different types of players. There are "front men," "mid inserts," and "back men." The front men are the runners. They are the most athletic and smallest players on the team. Front players have to be able to "snap shoot" very well. Snap shooting is a technique that allows players to switch between hiding behind a bunker and firing, very quickly.
