Human Life

Okay, well the whole concept of society trying to fit into itself is just a tad bit stupid, laughable, unimportant. The issue that absolutely must be addressed is that of a controlling society. This is the aspect of society that deals with changing who people are. Society tries to "repair" what they apparently view as God's "mistakes".
How can we, as the members of society, be so ignorant as to label those unlike us mentally "retarded?- Perhaps society doesn't understand them, and perhaps these people do not fit in with society. But perhaps these unique beings are not a lower form of life than us - could this possibly be? In actuality, those whom we label mentally "retarded" may have been blessed with a gift from God. It is possible, as well as quite likely, that they have an exceptionally distinct way of thinking, or some sort of other incredible skill. Maybe we, the "normal" people, are the ones lacking something. Unfortunately, society does not bother to look this closely at individual situations. Society is about everyone as a whole. .
Many mental "illnesses" today are being treated with prescription medications. These "illnesses" cover a wide range of depressions, including Major Depression, Manic-Depression (Bipolar Disorder), Cyclothymia, and Dysthymia. Each of these types of "illnesses" is associated with people's moods, emotions, and feelings. Psychiatrists, the doctors who are trained to diagnose patients, have no actual, accurate way to make a diagnosis. During an interview with Sarah Rosenblum, a teenager diagnosed with Atypical Depression, Sarah helped to reveal the critical truth behind mental illness procedures. "It wasn't like a visit to the doctor's office," she commented on her visit to the psychiatrist, "The guy simply asked me some questions, and suddenly I was put on a handful of different meds. It felt like I was a crazy person or something - but I'm not.
