Broken Nations

Mahatma Gandhi said "An eye for an eye only makes the whole world blind." Concept of revenge has been around since the beginning of life. People in Palestine and Israel are fighting everyday, trying to get revenge on one another for what has happened to them. They seem to be trapped in a vicious cycle which at this point seems to have no end. Countries like United States use these conflicts to push their agenda and to benefit off of it, while terrorist such as Osama bin Laden use these events to manipulate people into killing thousands of innocents for revenge. Palestinians and Israelis have been fighting for five decades over land that was granted to both Arabs and Jews by the United Nations. Both factions have always refused to accept the existence of the other. Jew claim that Israel, formerly known as Palestine, belongs to Jews because it was promised to their forefathers by god. On the other hand Arabs believe that Palestine belongs to them because they have lived there for centuries. .
Palestinians feel they should not have to pay for the crimes committed against Jews by Europe by giving up their land. They feel the land belongs to them because they have lived in Palestine for centuries. Palestinians were forced out of their homes and their land and sent to Refugee camps in other Arab countries just so Zionist can achieve spiritual cleansing in Israel. Palestinians claim that this forceful eviction was illegal and that Israelis should pay for that. This forced eviction of Palestinians was only the first Israeli injustice against Arabs. Arabs felt betrayed and wanted their land back. Palestinians were also furious about the fact that their land was bought illegally after they were made Refugees. Israel has publicly claimed that they own much of Israeli land because of their purchase of the land through out the beginning of 20th century. On the other hand Palestinians disagree and claim that their land was bought illegally.
