Morality

Morals can be defined as the distinction between right and wrong or the rules of right conduct. Most people hold many morals when it pertains to their daily lives. Some essays that relate to moral standards are; Jonathan Swift=s AModest Proposal,@ Joan Didion=s A On Morality,@ Langston Hughes= ASalvation,@ and Paul=s I Corinthians 13. All four of these essays portray a different moral. The moral that6 best presents my moral behavior is Paul=s I Corinthians 13.
Paul=s I Corinthians defines the meaning of love and explains how great love really can be. This passage is the best standard for my moral behavior, because love play a drastic role in my life. Versus four through seven signify what I feel are important standards in any relationship. Without these standards relationships would be corrupt and broken. For example, my relationship with my boyfriend has been like a roller coaster, because not all of the significance of love has been fulfilled yet. We both struggle with trust, for we have both broken it in the past. However, we realize in order to fully experience true love we need to trust each other. It is important that love is the motivation behind the right actions and all charity is useless without love. If the human race forgets about love, the world will become full of destruction and hate. It is definitely good to have love in your life.
In my own life I hold many morals and many of them pertain to love. Throughout my life I have been surrounded by love, so I feel love is a great thing that everyone should experience. All of my family and friends show their love for me, so it is natural to show them my love back. The essay AOn Morality@ by Joan Didion discusses the wagon-train morality, which mainly states that we are what learn as children. This statement does not necessarily have to be good, but it could be a bad thing too. I feel that this is quite true, for example, my parents have taught me to love everyone no matter who they are.
