Stress


             Stress affects everyone and in many cases, can cause serious problems. Stress can come from many aspects of our lives. Stress is inherent in a number of occupations requiring quick action, such as law enforcement and surgery. Stressed-out employees are more likely to miss work, both as a coping mechanism and due to health-related problems.
             It is too little or too much stress that is harmful? Harmful stress can come from too much pressure to get much done in too little time. It can also come from having boring or repetitive duties when one craves more action. In addition, a difficult boss or co-workers can cause stress. .
             When stress aggravates strung-out co-workers begin lashing out at each other, when hectic schedules prevent quality break time. Bad habits such as smoking and poor eating lead to even more stress. People are often surprised at how susceptible they are to stress because they don't take care of themselves. They have too much caffeine; they smoke, do not eat well, don't have a circle of friends and do not do anything fun.
             Another trigger is bad communication skills. Employees do not communicate between each other and become uncooperative. All jobs come with some degree of stress. Stress is not necessarily a bad thing to have; it is a problem when demands get so great that a person's normal level of coping no longer is able to handle the amount of stress. When this point is reached the feelings described above start to emerge and without some intervention the worker's ability to do the job diminishes. .
             Stress cannot only be negative or destructive, it can also be positive, encourage people to work hard for their achievement of their targeted or defined objectives. A moderate level of stress may escort better performance by inducing better preparation. It also helps in creating a more positive self-esteem and an equally positive power. Under moderate stress levels performance is high because physical and mental capabilities are challenged.
