            The Passion of the Christ: Controversial or Not?.
             Is The Passion of the Christ controversial or not? This movie is controversial since many people believe that the movie is anti-semantic. The film would as well be extremely controversial because not everyone has the same opinion about what happened during Jesus" last twelve hours of life so Mel Gibson should not have tried to recapture this moment according to the people that do not share the same view as Gibson. The movie is excessively controversial for the reason that different religions have different points of view on the subject and these people believe Gibson should not have made this movie so as not to offend anyone's beliefs.
             A big issue with this movie is that many people believe that this movie promotes anti-Semitism. In this movie the message that it portrays to some people is that all Semitics are the blame for the crucifixion of Jesus. This is not the point that Gibson intended to send though that is the way it was interpreted. Gibson was just trying to go by how the Bible tells the story of the crucifixion of Jesus. However this is not what went over with the people who watched the movie they believed that he was judging all Semitics by what those who lived back in those times did to Jesus.
             In addition this film was extremely controversial because not everyone has the same opinion about what happened during Jesus" last twelve hours of life so many people believe that creating this film was wrong. The last twelve hours of Jesus" life is unclear to everyone for the reason that no one was around now that was alive when Jesus was killed. Not all people believe that Jesus was crucified the way that Gibson presented whereas others do so this creates controversy among the viewers. .
             The movie is especially controversial because different religions have different points of view on the subject and these people believe Gibson should have not made this movie so as not to offend anyone's beliefs.
