Abortion: A life choice or the choice of a life?

Believe it or not there have been more than 32. since the Supreme Court legalized unrestricted abortion on January 22, 1973. Those deaths have been authorized to happen. A mother kills her baby because it is unwanted, yet she is not charged with murder. Is that right?.
If a doctor killed a baby one minute after it was born, he would be charged with murder. Yet, if the doctor was to kill a baby before the actual birth, they would not be considered a murderer. At what minute can one consider life worthless and the next precious? Some people will argue that abortion is not a matter of life and death. However, medical research proves that the fetus is a living organism. Therefore, an abortion would be ending a human life. Still others believe that a woman has the right to control her body and has the right to an abortion, but it's been established that the fetus is a completely different life. Just because the unborn child is dependent on the mother for nine months does not give anyone the right to end its life. .
For those who are pro-choice, what about the effects on the mother? When an abortion is performed on a woman, she is subject to many physical complications. Blood loss during the procedure causes blood to flow to various organs and can result in shock. When the canal of the cervix is dilated, the insides of the uterus, fallopian tubes, and abdominal cavity are exposed to all kinds of bacteria which could lead to infection. Severe hemorrhage often follows an abortion and instruments used during the procedure could puncture the uterus causing injury, infection, and bleeding to internal organs. The Journal of the National Cancer Institute states that women who have abortions also increase their risk of breast cancer by 50 percent. Abortion of a first pregnancy interrupts the natural growth process of the breast, leaving millions of cells at a high risk. Future pregnancy failure is increased by 45 percent with just one previous abortion.
