Joesph Stalin


            In the history of mankind there are countless men whose names have been synonymous with power, greed and above all, evil Joseph Stalin or Iosef Vissanionvich Dzhugaskvilli would become one of these men.
             .
             Joseph was born December 21 1879 in Gori, Georgia, Russia. He was 1 of 4 Sons who lived of Vissarion a shoemaker and an alcoholic and Tekaterina a washer.
             .
             Joseph spoke only Georgian until he was 8, when he learned to speak Russian. His mother who was very religious sent Joseph to a church school. In 1894 Joseph won a scholarship to the theological seminary in Tbilisi where he studied Religion, geography and other subjects.
             .
             In 1899 Joseph was expelled from the theological seminary for smuggling in banned books and for not respecting officials. A short time after leaving the seminary he joined the national Democratic Party's military wing where shortly there after the split of the party (1903) he became a follower of Lenin. In 1902 Joseph was arrested for his revolutionary actions and exiled to Siberia but escaped 2 years later and returned to Georgia. Joseph finally got the chance to meet Lenin in 1905 at a conference in Finland Lenin noticed that Stalin was very dedicated and loyal to Lenin's cause so Lenin appointed Joseph to work for his cause by raising money for the Bolsheviks by any means necessary this involved robbing banks and government money. .
             Lenin broke away from the social democrats in 1912 and started his own party knowing how valuable Joseph was Lenin took him in as a member of his central committee Joseph was only in the committee for less then a year when he was arrested and exiled again , where this time he was sent to Northern Siberia where he could not escape while he was there he took on the name Stalin which meant "Man of steel" (WW2 biographies). In 1917 after the overthrowing or the Russian czar Stalin was able to return where as a result of the February and October revolutions he was named Commissar of nationality affairs of the communist party.
