John McEnroe


After playing in a few national tournaments the fans gave him the nickname of "superbrat" for his loud and obnoxious behavior on the tennis courts. Although he would grow a lot in the next few years he never lost that temper that made him famous in his tennis career. .
             Years later he met a women named Tatum Scott who would become pregnant and give birth to his first child a son named Kevin on May 23, 1986. After convincing Tatum to become Catholic he married her in the St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church on August 1, 1986. Although he thought Tatum was "the one" they began having marriage problems almost instantaneously. However, despite marriage difficulties, Tatum would become pregnant and give birth two more times before they divorced in 1992. Their third child was a scare because of Tatum's internal bleeding. They were told the child may be miscarried but after spending plenty of time in the hospital the infant would be delivered 2 months early. Professionally, his career was going well. He had one bad year in 1986 where he only played in one tournament because he felt he was playing so poorly. In 1994, he began a new career as a sports commentator due to his career slowly coming to an end. In 1995, he met his future wife Patty Smyth. She would become pregnant and give birth to John's 4th child, Anna. Two months later they were married on May 23, 1997 in a friend's backyard in Maui. Patty had one child from a previous marriage of her own and Patty and John would give birth to another child a year later named Ava for a total of 6 children. John in addition began playing in a few tournaments on the Champions (Senior) Tour as well as continuing to go to Rock concerts and hang out with some of his favorite rockers of all time; Van Halen, Death Leopard, Styx, and the Rolling Stones. .
             John has been through more major events in his life than any other professional tennis player ever.
