Cloning has been one of the greatest issues of all time. People have been seeing cloning stories and movies for the longest time ever, together with other fictional storylines like aliens, myths and legends. The difference is that cloning has made its way into reality.
However, there are still a lot of questions regarding the issue. Should cloning be supported by the government and church? What does the bible say with cloning. The answer yet varies from one person to another.
They say that cloning is yet the climax of today's scientific and technological advances. The greatest of which was the famous Dolly the sheep, being a clone itself. Then, today, I group has been making advances into cloning the human being. .
In countries where the Catholic Church lies predominant in making decisions for the society, cloning is yet a big mistake that science should not support. Cloning is very much like "Man playing GOD." The church stand is that man should not tamper with the human life, as it is a sacred matter that God himself has sanctified. As man is made in the image of God, it is our moral and spiritual obligation to take care with life and should not desecrate it by means of taking man into the laboratory, where the human egg would be taken and replicated.
But science view it as another giant step for mankind. With the perfection of cloning techniques, we would then be able to save more lives than ever. And it would be a debatable point if cloning would desecrate human life, or help it. Like with cloning, man would be able to rid himself with the trouble of finding an organ donor, because scientists and genetic engineers could clone a human with the compatible genetic make-up that would enable him to prolong his life. Such cloning can save thousands of innocent young people whose lives are tormented with illnesses. Surely, science would triumph over the ailments that hinder men to be more productive.
