            Some may say Alan Greenspan is the second most powerful man in the world, today. And the only thing he does is balance the U.S. economy between boom and bust. Alan Greenspan is currently the chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank. He sets the tone for the topics of discussion, and has also been known to sway even the overall decision. He is no stranger of adapting, he is currently in his fourth four year term as chairman of the Federal Reserve. The economy is ever changing there is no way to predict it, but Alan Greenspan has manage to take a grasp on it. Knowing when to raise or drop interest rates, or whether or not a stock is for real. Whatever it is Alan Greenspan knows about it. His job is very hard, and his decision making skills is one of the reasons he is so successful at it.              Prior to being named Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank, Greenspan had and idea of what a recession was. He was born in New York City on March 6, 1926 and was a child during the great depression. He was the son of a stockbroker and retail worker. At a early age, Alan showed interest in mathematics, and gift for figures. His first real paying job as a late teen was playing a sax in a local band. Then after he completed high school Greenspan enrolled as a economic student at New York University. From there he went on to own, his own consultancy firm and even became the director for policy research for Nixon's presidential campaign. " In 1974 he was appointed Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors, by president Reagan"".
