School Choice Logical Spending

"( Allen) "A"melting pot of cultures," is what Allen claims our nation was like in the past. Allen believes that in order to restore what founded our nation, we must set aside our skeptisism and focus on education. Jeanne Allen believes in equal opportunities for all children and supports the idea of vouchers because they are constantly "delivering education and providing the most options," for children from less fortunate families. (Allen).
As I mentioned previously, both writers seem to have credible and reliable information. The audience is assured this when both writers provide statistics on the subject. Although Allen does include some astounding statistics, they are mainly refering to the Hispanic culture. On the contrary, it is Miner who provides an overall view of different organizations and statistics. Miner informs her audience and provides definitions just in case an audience member isn't knowledgeable on the matter. The BEAO, as I mentioned earlier, was just one of the organizations mentioned. Moreover, Miner continues explaining how much money was granted to the organization and how it was used. Interestingly, Allen didn't regard her audience at all. This is evident by Allen's disregard for other races in her essay. Consequently it is because of this that her audience may lose interest in her opinions. As mentioned earlier, she claimed that we can "succeed with any culture, and our nation will be richer for it." ( Allen) I sense some contradiction on her behalf because her main focus was people of Latin descent. In accordance to her disregard for other nationalities, she - as oppose to Miner- didn't state the importance of the organizations she mentioned. Nevertheless, I understand Allen's points about the importance of vouchers for low-income families, she should have managed to use more statistical facts as well as provide a broad variety of ways the vouchers help everyone.
